Supporting Ukraine

“I GIVE YOU PEACE.”

This is a song composed and written by Lee Tae Seok himself—a prayer for peace.

South Sudan, ravaged by over 30 years of war, has become a land of death, with more than three million people killed. Despite this, Lee Tae Seok remained by the side of those suffering from war, striving to ensure they never lost hope for peace.

In continuing this legacy, the Lee Tae Seok Foundation has committed to sharing his deep yearning for peace with the people of Ukraine, to help them endure the suffering of war.

In July 2023, the Foundation visited Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital in Ukraine to deliver medical supplies. The Ukrainian government and the Governor of Rivne expressed their heartfelt gratitude, recognizing the courage it took to bring aid directly, despite the dangers of war.

The Foundation’s connection to Ukraine began with the incredible story of an American during the early days of the war: Armen Melikyan risked his life to rescue over 300 women, elderly, and children, helping them escape to Poland. In support of his efforts, the Foundation provided a van for rescue operations and sent food and other essential supplies.

The Lee Tae Seok Foundation has now established a branch and office in Kyiv, Ukraine, appointing Armen Melikyan as Director of the office.
